The very first blog post is always a little bit intimidating. I spend hours drafting and editing and analyzing and stressing over whether I’ve captured the perfect tone, hit all the right notes, and made all the possible musical puns (I think I nailed it). The first post also forces me to think about a very important, and frankly basic, question – what is this blog even about?

The truth? I have no idea. I just know that I like to write. I write a lot at work (if you’re a former lawyer who gave up practice but still works with lawyers all the live long day, please rise). But that type of writing isn’t fun, and I’m really a good time gal at heart. So, I’d like to use this as my form of personal entertainment.

I should also note that I’m reentering the blogosphere after a years-long hiatus because I’m completely addicted to my phone and social media, and I’m trying really hard to break those habits. I need something else to do. So, I’m taking up the age-old millennial past time of blogging to curb my TikTok cravings.

None of this, of course, answers the question initially posed: What is this blog about? In the past, my blog topics have been pretty specific, but this time around, I’m going to harness some chaotic energy and say, this blog is going to be about everything – travel, fashion, television, meditation, parenting, books, cooking, eating, skincare, and literally anything else I happen to be thinking about.

At some point, I may find a more defined path for this blog, but for now, just know that my mind has a tendency to really go places, so settle in, folks.

And, all of these topics will be discussed through the filter of my elder millennial status. I just turned 40 this year, which makes me officially middle aged, but most days, I still feel like a middle schooler. Join me as I navigate adulting while still feeling like one of the youths.

And if you’re curious about who I am, here’s a bit more about me:

Name: Natalia

A/S/L: 40, F, Miami, FL

Marital Status: Married

Kids: 2 boys; wildly different from each other, equally exhausting

Hobbies: going to new restaurants, watching reality tv, getting regular mani/pedis, drinking prosecco, and consuming copious amounts of coffee throughout the day. What about water you say? I don’t know her.

Quote: Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

I guess that’s it for the intro post. Phew! Now that we got that out of the way, on to the show!
